A report from South Korean cybersecurity firm Genians reveals that state-linked North Korean hacking group Kimsuky has deployed local, offline AI tools—including Ollama and GPT4All. By running large language models locally alongside RAG search technology and AI coding tools, the group can automate cyberattacks, analyze stolen data, write malware, and craft convincing phishing lures without leaking sensitive operations to external AI services.
